Located by the banks of Brahmaputra, Dibrugarh is India’s original tea city. Spread over an area of 66 sq.km, this city is the perfect destination to unwind yourself. The lush and fecund tea gardens spread all across the town are bemusing. The lush green tea gardens seem never-ending with their vast expanse. Dibrugarh acts as the perfect gateway to Assam’s tea districts. Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Sivasagar accounts for 50 per cent of Assam’s tea crop. Perhaps, this is the reason Dibrugarh has rightly earned the sobriquet as the tea city of the country.
